Dr Lim is a cataract surgeon and fellowship-trained retina specialist. She has particular expertise in the management of retinal diseases including age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular diseases. She also manages a wide range of other eye conditions such as uveitis, glaucoma, pterygiums and eyelid conditions.
Dr Lim completed her medical training with honours at the University of Melbourne. She spent her residency years at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Alfred Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Medical Science degree for her research on diabetic retinopathy. She completed her ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, where she subsequently undertook further subspecialty fellowship training in medical retina and uveitis.
Dr Lim has published in her area of subspecialty in peer-reviewed journals and presented at multiple international conferences. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists (ANZSRS).
Dr Lim currently holds public appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Austin Health, where she continues to train and teach medical students, residents and ophthalmology trainees.
Dr Lim speaks fluent English and can also converse in Mandarin, Malay and Bahasa Indonesia.
