Dr Lim is an Australian-trained retinal specialist and cataract surgeon with international experience.
She has particular expertise in retinal diseases including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and macular oedema, retinal vein and arterial occlusions, pachychoroid spectrum disorders, myopic macular degeneration and retinal tears.
She is also an experienced cataract surgeon with skills in complex management of patients with cataract and retinal/inflammatory eye conditions.
Dr Lim gained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne, graduating with honours and multiple academic awards. She trained in ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. She completed an additional two years of medical retina fellowships at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. During these fellowships, she gained wide experience in the diagnosis and management of retinal conditions, intravitreal injections, retinal lasers and complex cataract surgery.
She currently holds a consultant position at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital where she is involved in teaching ophthalmology trainees. She maintains an active interest in ophthalmology research, publishing and presenting at local and international conferences. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. She is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists, European Society of Retinal Specialists and American Academy of Ophthalmology.
